    Sexy! Welcome, from Texas!

Edit: Is that some kind of voodoo with a spare tire carrier associated with the OEM bumper or just one of those hitch mounted carriers?

Thanks. As much I want it to be some OEM voodoo it's just a regular ole hitch mounted carrier I snagged from the lower 48. Gets the job done though.

Mother Nature is a fickle one sometimes. Glad you liked it while you had it. Hopefully studded tires and a lack of trees in my front yard will keep mine from a similar demise.

We bought that thing brand new in 2001, drove the crap out of it, only issue we ever had was front CV boots. I would probably still have it today if my coworker didn't hound me about it daily.

Interesting. I'd like to get something like that. Is it sturdy/high-quality? If so, what brand and what did it cost. If I had to change a flat, I'd much rather deal with that setup than the factory setup.

I’ve had it for 3 years in Anchorage and it’s held up well even in the winters. I got it “used” off a guy who decided he no longer needed it (he had never even attached it). They’re a bit steep new - I think $1,500 or something. It was easy to throw onto a hitch with a basic torque wrench and a buddy. RiG’D is the company that makes them. I had the guy throw in his attachment table which has come in handy for camping.

Yeah my CV boots need to be replaced soon. I decided to buy some of the high angle Off Road Solutions ones since I’ve got a lift and want to keep my OEMs. Will be interested to see if they’re worth the price and hold up for a while once they’re on.
