First truck and first Toyota

Hi guys I just joined and bought my first truck with the idea to built and overlander so I can take the kids out to the nature. It's a 2020 trd pro and it took me 8 months to find one with no crazy mark ups. I picked it up in Wisconsin and drove it back to California last week.
Few questions come to mind as I'm learning the truck.
1. Can parking sensors be added to the bumpers?
2. Has anyone been able to disable the motion sensor in order to input the navigation address or watch movies- for the passengers?
3. Is there anything to improve power on the truck outside of a supercharger?
4. What's the best guide to follow as far as heading accessories and over landing cards to the truck as I'm learning along?
5. Any recommendations for a shop in Southern California to do the build?- rack, bumpers, accessories, tent, etc? Looking for someone that is willing to help me with product choice.

I started watching Nathan Mueller youtube channel as well. Any other recommendations I would appreciate.

 

well get a pedal commander kinda like tow/haul mode but shift points are better. In fact go drive right now in tow/haul mode and report back on power.

First off, congrats on the truck. I hope it serves you well. There are a lot of people who build their trucks for similar purposes, so I'm sure you'll get good guidance.

I will probably look at aftermarket parking sensors. My wife is 5'1" and I am afraid of her playing bumper cars and bumper walls.
I think the speed sensor is connected to the speedo. I coded that option in my bmw and the kids can watch stuff while moving.
I like the TRD tuned exhaust already and it's pretty loud. Maybe a supercharger after the whole build is done, but I may have to sell my kidney for that one.

 

Honestly, for info on the power gains, give Keith at @dirtydeeds a call. He's very knowledgeable and if you just tell him what you want it to do/sound like he can give you some solid guidance. He's got a great reputation here on the forum for a reason.

Regarding using the NAV screen for other video, check out the FRAC system on this site (built and sold by @TundraTex). That system is designed for use with a front camera but it comes with a switch that effectively adds the capability to run any video through the system, even while driving. It is considered a safety hazard to have movies or other distracting videos running on it while driving though, so make sure you don't do something that you'll regret.

Your screwed. once you get acclimated to your Tundra and bullet proof reliability everything else will be disappointment. You can't kill them....
