    None yet, just bought 9/30/23
    Hello all,

My name is Bret. I live in Cortaro, Arizona.

Last night I bought a 2023 Tundra Platinum (but I guess the lower-end Platinum, it's missing a couple of things like the hologram speedo thing on the windshield). I'm still learning about Toyota and all the features my truck has.

This is my first Toyota. Friends and mechanics both have told me over the years that Toyotas are better built than most other brands, and I'll spend a lot less on repairs over the life of the vehicle as opposed to Ford or Chevy. So, I went for it.

With my budget, I could either get slightly used with a lot of features, or get, say, an SR5 while missing a lot of the comforts I wanted. I decided to give up miles for features. But, it's not too bad. It only has a little over 6500 on it. I don't think I got a smokin' deal on the price, but I don't think I got reamed too badly, either. I did a lot of homework before I went shopping, and I negotiated pretty hard. I think neither the salesman nor I walked away from the deal completely happy.

I have been driving a Ford 2009 F150 STX for the last 11+ years. I put on 240k miles over two engines. It took me a while to part with it because I did so many mods to it over the years, to give it features that Ford no doubt didn't want an STX to have. Since I put so much sweat into it, it was difficult for me to let go. But, it's getting to the state where it needs more work than I really want to put into it, so it's time for an upgrade.

I love to hack and mod. I love jailbreaking things and get features and access to things that the manufacturer of a given item didn't want me to have because I didn't give them more money. This truck will no doubt be no exception to that. I am looking forward to learning from all of you what hacks and mods can be done to my truck to make it even better.

You'll like it.... tightest turning radius of full size trucks and Jap crap runs right!!! lol If maintenance is done correctly... no need to look at odometer....
