I bought the Beast for this day. I am not scared anymore driving in snow. I am actually enjoying it. 2wd is running smooth but I still need to get used to 4wd. Full turn is not that smooth with 4wd yet it might be because of big tires too 275/55R/20 or may be I didn’t have experience with 4wd that’s why. But overall it’s fun to drive it in snow. Please share your experience how you keep clean your truck in snow and what precautions you use before snow month?? And do you use any cover during night

Very nice, 4wd and full steering lock is not gonna be happy together, unless you're on really slick surface. This applies to any truck, with the exception of SUV that has full time AWD

Quick suggestion- don’t wash your truck in freezing temperature. I just did and now water froze on my truck. This is the stupid decision I ever made:crazy:

I had my first snow trip with my truck a couple of weeks back on the way home from work. It was great to be able to cut through housing developments with snow covered roads and avoid a lot snarled main roads for the most part. It still took me over an hour for my usual 1/2 hour trip but that was nothing compared to other multi-hour commute horror stories that I heard.
When I got to an un-plowed park up the street my house I got to really play. I had a blast!

Hahah yeah only wash it when its above 40. Also for 4wd I only use it when the roads are completely covered. Otherwise you get that rough almost grinding feeling around turns. Being from upstate ny its a little different because I get snow almost year round, but be very selective with 4wd and snowy roads

Oh and my best advice for snow is keep some weight in the bed over the wheel wells. Roughly 200-400lbs and when you get a good snow find an unplowed parking lot and rip donuts. Its the best way to get a feel for your truck. And you will feel like a little kid. I still do it every time it snows.

I wash my truck in freezing temps because of road salt. Never had a problem just make sure to dry off the door jamb weatherstripping very well. This is key

I run it threw the car wash 2 times a week and add 260lb to the back plus inflate tires to the door sticker. after that bed bounce is none existent.

I have never driven in the snow before but may be moving up north in a year. Is 4wd required? I'm only 2wd

It really depends on how much snow . These trucks do really well with 2wd in lite snow. When you start to get into multiple inches then your going to need a bunch of weight in the bed and some good snow tires

If I didn't wash my truck when it was cold out, then it would only be washed May thru September. My OCD would be screaming at me. I stop hand washing at 20 degrees f.
