Just traded in my 16 SR5 for a 23 Platinum (Tundra). So far so good, but I am a little concerned about the effects of the sun on the leather parts of the interior, especially the upper dashboard area. I know a sunshade would be the easy answer, but are there any treatments I should be applying to the leather? I'm seeing a mixed bag of "it's coated with vinyl and requires no treatment" or "treat it but it's really not doing anything". Like I said, this is my first Leather interior, so I really would like to take all precautions to make it last.

Ceramic tint, Chemical Guys leather conditioner and cleaner work great and will not alter the color of the leather. I use it exclusively on my Tundra and Mustangs leather interior. Did I mention the smell, it smells amazing.

Thanks for all the replies guys! Based on your replies I will be treating and conditioning. Maybe at some point in the future tinting.

I dont do anything with my leather. I dont plan on owning this thing more than a decade so I just wipe with a damp cloth, Never had a problem but I also dont endure Texas of Florida sun 365 days a year
