First of all this is my first post and I'm a newbie here, so hey!! I have looked through every first gen post on here and thought for sure that I would find the answer that I have poured through the internet to find and yet still do not have an answer... So here goes. I have an 04 tundra sr5 trd 4.7 with a 3.91 gear ratio. I blew my front differential. I have come across some listings on eBay and LKQ that say an 05/06 8" front axle carrier will be a direct replacement for my 7.5" stock unit but I have also found listings that say that only a 7.5" will work and I do know that the Tacoma, 4 runner, and sequoia among certain years used the same.. SO, can I use the 8" front differential assembly as a direct replacement for the 7.5" assembly or not????? I just need a yes or no..
    Thanks!

Found out that they make a Spartan Locker for the 7.5" in the Tundra. Now if only they'd make one for the 8.4"
