Banned here but folks will still do it. I have to babysit my dog until it's over.

Not doing any this year, too damn cold outside. People around me are definitely picking up the slack though.

Most dogs don't, especially mine. She really got messed up in Anchorage during New Years in 2012. Tonight all over AK the fireworks come out big time, BIG time. They used to fire off huge ones in the street. I've never seen anything like it. The bang loud enough to shake my house windows. Not much fireworks on July 4th. Sun is up most of the day. Way past midnight or later.

I’m sure that I’m a disappointment to y’all, but I’ve not been awake at midnight on New Years for at least 15 year.
Except when I’m woken up by the neighbors shooting guns in the air!
Good Night and God bless you all, be safe and I will see y’all next year!

I fell asleep early. I don't really do fireworks because I'm a cheapass. If I could safely fire guns, I'd do that. LOL. The city puts on a fireworks show but it was cancelled due to an extreme cold warning. Yeah, we get those here. -35 Celsius last night. I didn't even hear neighbours lighting anything off. lol.

I spent New Years in Honolulu back in 2008. That was pretty wild. Hawaiians love their New Year's. :D
