Finally made it!

I wanted a 4runner for ten years - since my Senior year in college it seemed to be the perfect vehicle for back country adventures, hauling gear, and just looking BA. I finally saved and got one in 2016, albeit past my backpacking days but still perfect for multisport adventures. It was an SR5 Premium with third row in white that I put the TRD wheels on, tinted, and blacked out the emblems.

Had our surprise blessing third child in December of 2019 and captain's seats became a must have for the wife... Sold the 4runner in May 2020. Bought a 2018 Sequoia TRD Sport but the Dealer could never get me the Title and my only option was to sadly return it in August. Took the FIRE route on the next buy since used Sequoia's are so hard to find and bought a 2013 GMC Yukon XL all cash, no payment and hated it from day 1.

Luckily I have the most amazing wife and she knew how bad I wanted a Sequoia. I sold the Yukon after 5 months of torture and by a stroke of divine intervention found exactly what I was looking for 3 days later - a 2016 Sequoia SR5 Premium in black, 75K miles. I talked my wife into the middle seat removal on the second row bench to have "Captain's Chairs" and the rest is history. Glad to have finally made it on this forum after an entire year of Sequoia hunting. Now I've got one until I can pass it down to my son 15 years from now!

WTB: Tundra or Sequoia TRD wheels, 2018+ OEM headlights, TRD pro grill - holler if you have any of these for sale or can get a good deal.

 

Welcome. Can you post a pic of the middle seat removal? We have a 2015 Yukon XL and would love to trade it for a Sequoia but a walk-through middle is a just for the wife here too. The Sequoias with true caption seats and no center console seem to be difficult to find...
