I was detailing the Tundra over the weekend, and found that the fender wells (behind the front wheel fender liner and between the door frame) was filled with wet dirt and leaves. I got as much out as I could by loosening the fender arches, removing the mud flaps, poking around, and using compressed air, but never figured out the trick to removing the fender liner. There was about two cups of dirt and decomposed leaves on the passenger side, and about half of that on the driver side (odd...). I was surprised that I didn't see any rust, since I'm assuming it's collected there since the truck was new.

Just a friendly reminder that you should check to make sure that area is clear of debris and can drain freely.

Good tip. That area rusted out on my t100. I can tell my tundra has some debris blocking drainage. Going to get in there soon before it starts causing problems.

That area clogged up with leaves and debris on my wife's Highlander and caused water to leak into the front passenger compartment and puddle up on the floor. It took me a long time to figure out where the water was coming from.
