    Hello Tundra World,
I joined this forum awhile back to have another source of 2UZ info as I purchased an 03' 4Runner a few years ago.
My Son and I have been Tundra fans for quite some time now and he finally purchased a 1st Gen. He plans on a 2-3" lift with some rims and tires to start with. Timing belt will be first on the list as the truck has 190k.
My Tundra purchase will have to wait as I have committed to building my 4Runner w a DK LT and possibly a custom rear LT. My Build Thread is here on 4Runners.com.
Here is his Phantom Gray Pearl DBL Cab, and my 03 T4R.

Older Sister 1UZ. Toyota didn't have V8 production truck engine released yet, so Toyota found PPI Racing one of these Lexus LS400 Junk yard engines. They then had it modified by TRD, and it won Ivan a Baja 500 its first time out in 97'. Once everyone figured out they were built with 6 bolt mains, they started boosting the shit out of them.
Picked it up cheap. Crank spins by hand and it has the thicker 1st gen early 90s rods.
Maybe a T100 project one day. Quite a few of those trucks for sale in Florida right now.
My Son wants to do a Blown 86 of course. LOTS of reading in my future. But the UZ community is pretty cool with their knowledge, which will help a lot cause I don't know shit.
