Below is what I did for fast wireless charger install. The main requirement for me was two chargers, actual fast charging, and little to no wires. I bought multiple different chargers that claim fast charging, quick charging, Qualcomm 3.0, blah blah. They all do that when plugged into a wall outlet, but not the USB ports in the console, despite the input/output ratings on the charger. What DOES work is a fast charger plugged into a fast charging USB port on a 12V cigarette lighter adapter. Below is what I did...

    Adapter
    Charger

First off, watch this dash removal video a few times...9-17 minutes and 23-24 minutes.

I ran the wires up behind the flat buttons, to the right around the climate control panel, between the vent and the radio, and up through the little dash storage storage area where the 12V outlet is.

Remove pieces in alphabetical order. You need to take off A and B from both sides, and C is a pain the ass.

E (the screen) only really needs unbolted and loosened, not taken out.

Place the chargers and run the wires...

I didn't take the picture, but the wires go up over the top of the radio and into a whole I cut in the little dash tray and plug in.

Put everything back together in the reverse order paying attention to the layering of the trim pieces. A word of caution, part of the dash comes loose above the instrument panel. There are slots/guides that you need to pay attention to or you'll have a gap between the two black pieces. They don't clip or snap, but will leave a gap if not lined up properly.

Voila! Double fast wireless charging and (almost) no wires.

It took me longer to figure out how to post this than it did to actually "install".

I guess I should mention, the phones are S22 Ultras and line up perfectly, might be different for different size phone, but you could always make some kind of tiny shelf out of some weather stripping or something.

A for effort and nice presentation, but I have to ask: why not tap into the wires for that cigarette outlet, connect and hide a 12v USB outlet (dime a dozen, pick one) and hide all the wiring completely in dash?

Nicely done! Looks clean. Also nice to see that it was done for an Android phone since the majority of folks have iPhones.

Didn't really think of that, but I'm short, so I can't even see the dash or the wires. Out of sight, out of mind.

I'm willing to bet Toyota owners make up bigger share of Android users than any other car maker.
Wonder if there are any factual stats on that. :)

If your phone is at 61% and it’s gonna take 1:07 to charge the other 39%, that doesn’t seem “fast” to me in fact that seems pretty slow, no? :notsure:

With the number of posts dealing with the media hack using the binize box, the majority of cell users appear to be apple

Looks great! Any idea what the chargers were? The link is broken

Edit: found these YANGYANG brand "ultra-slim" ones that did the job. I routed the cables to the fuse box under the glove box since that seemed easier and I wanted to retain use of the plug on top. I used a fuse tap to wire in another cigarette lighter socket for the power and hid it. I made a separate thread it

While you had everything taken apart, did you see how much space is behind the plastic of the phone holders to mount the through desk wireless chargers? (They are the kind that can charge through 3 cm of plastic, wood, and other materials)

My thought is to do something very similar to what you did, but have the chargers under the plastic.

I don't remember that detail, but taking things apart and putting back together was remarkably fast.

There should be room from what I remember. I believe the one that comes as a factory option sticks out in back a good half inch to inch.
