    Just bought truck and it starts up at 1200 rpm and does not go down till you drive it some.What is problem? Is it a sensor or adjustment? Thanks for any help.

    That’s perfectly normal in my experience. Once it warms up a little the idle drops.

    My 2020 does it too. They say it’s normal I believe. Something about heating up the catalytic converter.

    Your Tundra is white, therefore it always runs faster than the rest. Nothing wrong with that!:burnrubber:

    Thanks guys for the answers. This is first truck I have had that it takes this long to idle down. I feel better about it now.

    Yep, takes about 3-4 minutes to get below 1k rpm.
