Hey guys, looking to purchase my first new tires after the stock ones that came with the car. Decided that I am going to get either 275/55/20 or 275/60/20 size for the Falken Widlpeak A/T3W.

I spoke with some guys at Discount Tire/Tire Rack and confirmed that 275/60/20 is the biggest size I can go without any rubbing (no lift kit on my car). Think I can also go wider @285 but the price goes up a lot so going to pass on going wider.

I was wondering if anyone had experience in both sizes 60 vs 55 and what they liked better. Doesn't have to be specifically Falkens was just curious about the sizes in particular. Also wondering if there was a big difference between Standard Load (SL) vs Extra Load (XL)? I do plan on towing here in there but not all the time.
    • 275/55/R20 Extra Load (XL) 117T
    • 275/60/R20 Standard Load (SL) 115T

I have the 275/60/20 standard load on my truck. To be honest I think they are only a little wider than stock not higher. Definitely no rubbing. The standard load is lighter and drive like road tires with a pretty aggressive tread. Changed the whole look of the truck. I love them

A little wider not taller? Rep told me they'd be half an inch taller from both bottom and top. Weird!

Just curious they don't rub even when you turn the wheel max left or right? Rep also told me it MIGHT rub on the mud flaps if you crank it fully.

Not going to lie they look really nice on your truck! Happy I'm going to get them!

I thought stock was 275/55 and mine are 275/60. I always though the second number was the width. Either way these are definitely wider than the stock pizza cutters. Absolutely no rubbing and I’m sure I could definitely go bigger if I wanted to. The SL version drives very soft and smooth on the road. I had an E rated before and it was a lot heavier and harsher ride
