Hello, my name is Paul, ( SaulofTarsus). I am new to the Forum. Let me explain the title of this post. After first getting my Tundra about a year ago now, I was overly excited with the new Power I've had Fords all my life and besides the fact of me locking the keys in the tundra probably eight times now and wearing out my welcome with the free roadside service from Nationwide everything has been great with the new tundra until... I cut the Cats Out! Yes I did and I've had nothing but hell ever since. anyway I won't go into detail. As its a self-inflicted wound. Just wanted to introduce myself and say im grateful for this forum and I look forward to bouncing ideas off of some of you guys20200524_182603_HDR.jpg

Welcome from Maine. A word of advice..always keep the parts you take off the truck. I have a graveyard of tundra parts behind my garage but if the day ever comes that I decide to sell it, I can put it back to stock.

What were you expecting by removing the cats? These days the emission controls are so tightly managed by the computers that removing anything will throw codes.
You might try to find some at wrecking yard. I'm sure the same cats were used for a few years.

And Bleach, i dont guess i was thinking at all. Of course i got rid of the cats for 400$ and bought the device that was supposed to "fool" the ecm to thinking cats were still there. Guess what. It dont work. Lol. My yota runs very very rich and the trac off light, engine light, and 4lo flashing stay on. I attached a pic of the codes. Ive gotten used to it , Screenshot_20200612-145438.jpg

I am not an expert but that is showing you running too lean not rich. You better be very careful with that as lean can cause excessive heat and burn up your pistons.....

not saying that would happen, but I would be going back to stock ASAP.

One person on here who could help is @dirtydeeds

He is a resident expert on exhaust and would probably steer you in the right direction of getting cats or making what you have work.

Did you replace the whole exhaust system or just cut it off?

My Cat recommendation would be a "MagnaFlow high flow universal cats " their about $86 to $156 apc depending on size , might need to add a extra $20 for extra pipe as their length might be shorter unless you already have pipe in place of the existing space of the oem cats.

    Recommend places:
    Summit racing
    Jegs

An dont forget the correct i.d /o.d .

    An welcome

Cool - I got a degree from USM in Hattiesburg a lifetime ago, and worked in Laurel for 8 years, and moved to Spanish Fort, across the bay from, Mobile in 2007. I had a roommate from Carthage when I was at USM.
If you ever make it down to the coast, let me know. I like meeting new people, especially when I know we already have something in common!

Dirty deeds is the way to go. He can fabricate custom mid pipe with cats. 2, 2.5, or 3 inch piping, he can make it happen.
