Over the past few days, every 5 minutes or so my Tundra has been making a faint chirping sound. Kind of like the sound it makes when I press the lock button on the remote, and it makes the locking sound chirp. This is the same sound, but quieter. I'm guessing my truck battery is starting to fail? Ideas?

Kidding of course! Probably a failing keyless / security module, but could be the battery. How old is it?

haha damn smoke detector! The battery is 4 years old. So it's a good possibility that it is the battery.

Is it coming from the area under the brake master cylinder, where the alarm piezo lives? It's a little round foam thing (potentially with a ring of red foam) on a stick/wire that's resting on the fender, usually between the brake booster and inner fender.

Thank you all for your responses. I replaced the battery (only two years old), and the chirping did stop. I Also swapped out the battery terminals and grounded the negative post to the frame.
