Hi everyone. I recently picked up a new 2024 Tundra Platinum w/ OR Package + TRD Lift. The truck was bought this way from the dealer, I believe this is a factory lift.

The truck came with the 20-inch TRD alloy wheels and stock Wildpeak tires. I live in Buffalo, NY, and want to upgrade my tires to the Wildpeak AT3W for better snow performance while increasing my tire size.

What is the maximum tire size I can put on the stock wheels - given the TRD lift - without any additional modifications?

I do not want to add/remove/trim anything. Don't want any rubs either, I'd like the same driving experience and performance. I would like to simply purchase a set of 4 tires from Sam's Club or another discount retailer and go to my local tire shop to have them install the tires without any additional mods.

I've read on Reddit that 33" is the max without any mods, but is this true? I'm hoping to find out before spending $1,000+ on tires and realizing I have to make mods. If not, what tire size should I be aiming for then?

I apologize if this has already been answered - I attempted using the search feature but as a newbie, I kept getting overwhelmed with the amount of info on this forum.

If you don't want to modify anything, stick with 33's.

285/65/r20 is what Toyota recommends in order to not have any rubbing. I just bought 2024 limited OR pack+3 in factory lift...that is what I am going with. It also does not void the warranty...so if you go bigger and you have something that goes wrong and the mechanics say..."uh it's because of your tire size"...possibly voided. HOWEVER...in the advertisement that Toyota did to promote the factory 3in lift...the truck was on 35x12.5. Interesting...

Thanks for your reply. Interesting. Can you please link where Toyota mentions that 285/65/r20 is the recommended size? My stock tires are 265/60/r20 and wondering from where that recommendation is posted.

Scroll down to the "disclaimer". IMO...I don't want to leave the decision up to a service manager to determine if my truck's warranty is voided because I wanted 1/2 more inch to say I got 35's.
    285/65-20
    Diameter inches 34.59
    Width inches 11.22
    Circum. inches 108.66
    Sidewall Height inches 7.29
    Revolutions per mile 583.12

This links states the same thing...it is just a more specific link from the corporation web site instead of my local dealer. At a minimum...I would buy the tires from them/let them put the tires on and maybe get a written document that states, does not void warranty. Toyota will match price of any tire you find if you bring in advertisement from another tire seller. I am "vested" in this topic because I am doing the same thing with my and I got 7yr/100,000 warranty, so....

Is anyone rolling on 37s with the factory lift? I've researched the hell out of this and from what Ive seen you need about 2.5" lift to fit 37s but some folks say they needed to do the body mount chop which I am completely opposed to, yet those meaty 37's keep calling my name.

I am running factory lift with 37’s, 0 offset wheels. I had to chop the body mount which is an easy DIY at home with no welding etc needed. I also removed metal piece behind the fender liner. All super easy. Nothing else needed to be done.

Wow that looks really clean. I think I can probably get by with 35's but thats not the same look. How bad was the rubbing without the chop?

I just got a set of 35" installed on my 2025 Tundra with factory lift. At full turn the tires rub the frame.

I was really hoping this could be avoided. Sounds like 33" is the max.

How bad is the rubbing? Did you keep with the factory wheels or did you upgrade? What tire did you go with?

I just picked up a 2025 with a factory lift and I want to upgrade the tires and keep the factory trd wheels, but in not sure what tires to go with.
