I have a 2007 Tundra SR5, pretty basic. For some reason the PO replaced the factory unit with a JVC. I found a complete radio AM FM CD out of a 2007 4Runner including amplifier. No wiring, but would this plug into factory wiring on my Tundra?

Yes. lol... Its probably the same plug across all brands as well... Odds of ditching the stock radio are various, but probably lost some CDs in there and it refused to let them go, like mine, only way to get them back is busting it open.....

Ok, it is $50 on FB. Someone sent it to me. I’m afraid to look behind the JVC cause if they hacked the factory wiring I’m buggered.

ummmm... damn it Jim, odds are it is.... I got a head unit installed on my Celica at a shop and when that radio failed I went to replace it with the stock one and the pigtail was gone. So I went to Oreilly since it was a couple blocks away and looked for an adapter and noticed it was the same pigtail for the radio since 1989. So I swung by the salvage yard and picked one out of a Corolla as they were interchangeable, I removed the pigtail and replaced it with the Corolla one and made an adapter with the Oreilly pigtail for the new head unit... You may need some solder, or an effective method to keep wires in contact if you don't..

You need to pull the JVC and look at it. Get a pic of the radio for sale and post it so we can see the connectors. Having Tundras and 4Runners, they are not all the same.

Here it is BTW, I’m totally new to Tundra world. 3 Land Cruisers all from the last century. So I’m progressing slowly.

2 of those plugs on the right look identical to my 2002 Celica, the big one and the small middle one. The plug on the far left hand side looks similar to the jbl option radios, which mine doesn't have. if you look for adapters for your radio, that will give you a good idea that it would plug right in.

It won't be direct fit but you can probably get it to work. The plugs should fit but radio might not fit in the dash correctly. I think you are better off getting an original Tundra radio if you want to go back to OEM.

Thinking about it...the dash and contours are different between the 4R and the Tundra. The tundra is more rounded.

The radio plugs are interchangeable, but its a completely different radio than the 07.

I was looking around. I won’t do this 4 Runner radio. There is a good D DIN radio here on want ads for reasonable. I’ll wait until I get the timing belt/tune up in January done.
