    What’s up everyone,

Does anyone know any dealers in the SoCal area or anywhere on the west coast that will accept tundra builds. Seems like no dealerships will do it. I’m willing to travel for the vehicle.

    thank you!

Don't think you can, Toyota builds 100k tundras annually if that, they don't have the logistics to do custom one offs imo. If they were the big 3 selling close to 10x the volume, you can see why the others allow custom orders to be placed/fullfilled

Do note you can go on reddit and everyone will tell you they did place a custom order on Toyota tundra xyz, this is all false. They got a dealer preordered req that somewhat matches their spec.

No such thing as custom orders for tundras,

Awesome. Thank you for the help. I guess I’ll cold call some dealers around me and see what I can do. I didn’t realize it would be so hard to find a TRD off road premium with the heated steering wheel.

Yes. What he said, was very similar to my experience. In late 2019 was tire kicking for a 2020, in a dealership and didn't see the exact truck I wanted (TSS, Quicksand, w/Bench seat, blacked out (this was before the "Midnight" version), and other minor options) this was months before the dealer was going to get in their next allocation. When I told the dealer what I was looking for he said, "well we can build that", he was working within the system as described in the video above, and the important part is what the gent says at about 13:19 "the dealer can add options and accessories" (stuff I wanted). That is important as the dealer can order cars and "add options and accessories", that is, build to his own speculation. As I watched the dealer build this, I told the dealer, "Hey, I'm not putting cash down, or ready to buy this right now, so I don't want you to think you are ordering this truck for me right now" (I would have had to purchase with no leverage), and he said "that's ok if you don't buy it when we get it, someone else will". I watched him build the truck on his system, he printed it up and handed me the spec sheet (I think I still have it) I put no $ down, and left. I was working very near this dealer when I was looking, and would eyeball his inventory every day, so fast forward a couple of months, when that truck finally came in and was on the lot I saw it (nope he didn't call me), and bought it. That truck I drive now was built on the conversation I had with the dealer months before it was on the lot.
