Good morning Tundra family! I’m trying to get the factory OEM alarm installed in my 2012 tundra. How would I go about getting started and looking for parts that are still missing for example, like the glass shatter microphone and all that good stuff? is there a website I can purchase this and who can install this?

I see where I’m making the mistake of asking in the first generation, I’ll make sure to get more familiar with this forum! Thank everyone!!!

All good @ColoradoTJ should be able to move this to 2nd gen forum if you haven't already made a new thread.

First step is verifying exactly what you have already vs what you want to add.

What trim level is your truck? I assumed all came with the factory theft deterrent. My SR5 has it with a panic button on the key fob however it does not have the glass break sensor installed.

My car had alarm and was prewired for the glass break sensor and microphone. I was able to buy those parts and plug them in to have that add on feature.

I believe there is an option in Techstream to turn alarm on/off.

I think if your alarms is turned on/active there is a light in middle on dash that will come on after truck has been locked for a minute

Mine is a 2012 base model. It does come with the fob with a panic button, I guess I gotta go inside the dashboard and see what wiring is already available for plug-ins.
