    Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a 2020 off-road premium and wonder if extended warranty is worth the price. Thanks

    Welcome

If you go with it, search on here. There's a dealer listed (itI think it was in Wi) that sells them for an amazing price.
I paid way more than what she is selling them for. Wish I knew.
Also, make sure you go with the Toyota one, not a 3rd party.

Can't you wait until the factory warranty is almost over? Because most warranties are dual coverage and it's a waste of money since your paying for x amount of miles/yrs while factory already covers 36/3yr

Yes you can wait and purchase any time before 3 years, or 36,000 miles. Whichever comes first.

Most say it’s a Toyota and you don’t need a warranty. I got it and think it was worth it since I don’t have to worry about major repairs for 7 years or 100k. That’s probably about where I’ll be looking for a new truck anyway.

Her name is Jennifer I believe from Wolverine Toyota. I scoured the Tacoma world forum as well as this one as well as 6 calls to dealers here locally. She came in a LOT lower than anyone. I got the 8 year/100k for $1155. YMMV

I did buy the extended warranty from Southeast Toyota on my 2016 SR5 and have used it once, however the repairs exceeded what I paid for it and my only cost was the $50.00 deductible. Being retired and with limited income, I did not want to potentially get hit by the "big one", so it does provide me with some peace of mind. Many choose to "self insure" but it will depend on whether you have the resources and the discipline to have funds to pay for anything that is not covered by original warranty.
