Extended Warranty Question

I am preparing to by my 3rd Tundra. I purchased an extended warranty with my first one in 2007 as it was basically a first generation. Back in 2007 you could purchase a genuine Toyota Manufacturer's warranty from any Toyota dealership which could be utilized at all Toyota dealerships. I remember the dealership tried to sell me their top of the line extended warranty for about 2K. When I showed them that I could purchase the identical warranty from another dealership for $800 they matched after a little haggling. Does anyone have any info about other Toyota Dealerships selling extended warranties for vehicle not bought at their dealerships?

There is a whole thread on extended warranties. I can’t find it but it’s out there.

Same theory still applies. Call around and find the best deal apples to apples. If dealer matches it, you can finance it. If not, you write a check to the best priced dealer. They get +1 on their quota for extended warranties sold that month, with little to no effort. Win-win.
