Extang Trifecta Canvas Question

I recently purchased a truck with this Trifecta Signature canvas cover installed. I notice that the middle two supports appear to be pushing up and the cover is not quite flush on the bedrails in that area. Is this normal or did the previous owner not install something correctly?

Has anyone tried running through an automated non touch-less carwash with this cavas cover installed? I know carwashes are frowned upon, but if I get lazy and go back to the wash club membership will the brushes destroy the cover? I'll be sure to select a wash package with no wax/polish etc to avoid stains.
