    I have a Tundra on order scheduled to arrive sometime in the next month. In the past, I've driven GM trucks and put Flowmaster 50's on every single one. I want to put something on the new Tundra with a deep rumble (no popping, crackling)

    How does the Dirty Deeds 8" exhaust compare to the Flowmaster 50? Louder/Quieter?
    How does the tone of each compare?
    Do you feel like the Dirty Deeds is worth the extra money?
    FWIW, I can put a dual in/out 50 series on for about $200 at my local shop.

    I had a Chevy with a LS2 and magnaflow. It sounded bad ass. Something to consider, the Tundra will never sound like an LS motor. It just won’t. That said, I really like the way my truck sounds with my 6 inch Dirtydeeds. I think you’ll like the 8”, just don’t expect it to sound LS LOL

    That's good to know. I've been watching exhaust videos on youtube , but haven't heard alot of Tundras in person. It's hard to judge without hearing one live. .

    I used a generic eBay version of the Flowmaster with dual 2.5" in and single 3" out to replace my stock muffler. I just dumped the exhaust down to the ground directly after the muffler outlet. I'm not a fan of the sound. It sounds OK, it does not drone, BUT when I get on it it sounds more like an air compressor with it's outlet valve wide open. I think the 4-valve 3UZ sounds better with round glass-pack style exhaust like the Dirty Deeds. The Chevy LS would sound good no matter what muffler you have, and the Ford Coyote sounds like crap without any muffler (too high compression 12:1) like the Mustangs kids like to run today.

    My neighbor has exactly this. I started walking my dog 30 minutes later in the morning so I don't have to hear him start it up and leave for work anymore.
    :rofl:

    Even my wife said it sounded like crap. I actually like how they sound with the stock muffler.

    Having experience with both, go with the @dirtydeeds DD 8". I had a FM on my other truck. It's nothing more than a noise maker. I can tell you that the DD will outperform the FM.

    Hello All,

    Thanks for the praises!!! We try to be the best out there so your trucks sound the best.

    Here is a few items that will help alot on comparing our systems not only side by side, but also to a Flow Master.

    Also, our standard systems are on sale with about $200 in savings!!!

    If you are familiar with Flowmasters, here is an apples to apples comparison:
    6" = 40 Series
    8" = 50 Series
    10" = SUV/Motorhome

    Our epic sale has returned,.jpg

    I was digging through the SAE handbook and found this interesting nugget of information regarding exhaust sound data. It made me curious if our Tundra's have equal length Y-pipe's?

    I’ve got a flowmaster 50 series as a weld in replacement on the stock system. I chopped the tail pipe after the last down turn past the axle and put a rolled short tip on. I have heard nothing but great things about DD and seriously considered one for a very long time. But I love the sound of my flowmaster 50 and I’ve gotten numerous compliments on its sound. When I first put it on I thought it was a little too quite and after a few thousand miles it’s gotten a little more growl to it. It’s not too loud and it’s not too quite. I didn’t notice and performance gains but I do catch myself driving with the windows down more often to listen to the exhaust . I don’t regret my decision one but but if I hadn’t gone this route I would probably consider trying to snatch a deal from someone selling a DD exhaust on the forum here.
