My 2008 has a flapping sound around 1200 rpm to idle, and at idle. It sounds like an exhaust leak on decel, but it is out the tailpipe. It is worse at times, then it may get better, and back and forth. I’ve had my fair share of exhaust leaks, so I know the sound, but this isn’t a leak. It’s got a dirtydeeds 8” bamuffler and a secondary cat delete. You can’t really hear the tone at these low of rpm’s, which means a weird idle sound. Any help would be great, thanks.

Mufflers are too small for rear cat delete. That system was designed with all 4 cats in mind. We have a lifetime sound warranty. If you’d like to exchange for something with bigger mufflers just pay shipping. 760-877-4234

I would like to report that I just put my tailpipe back on, and it is significantly better, would like to make it a dual some day by getting one of your x-pipes to replace the y-pipe. Do you think that could work?

Good to hear! I’ve seen where you made an electric fan for a tundra, if you can remember, how much was that? I have a 2008 with a tranny cooler. Just sounds like a good idea ya know;)

The aluminum shroud is the most time consuming part of the job. Second most time consuming is running for parts, nuts, bolts, clamps, overflow. Etc.

It’s a solid 8 hour job to put one together. It’s definitely more cost effective to make it yourself. You just need the stock shroud for the template. 1/8” aluminum. A jig saw. 14” and 16” fan. And a ton of patience.
