    yikes.

my point - a major car manufacturer is stating - to it's shareholders - that Gov is guiding the biz.

and Ford leadership has no control over it.

    hunker TF down.

    "clawback"...that's a nasty word.

just shouting down the well now...

Drove the MX yesterday to shop...Appointment got screwed up, so we rescheduled.

I was in deep shit Houston morning traffic on the 610 loop.
it's nice to be in stop & go traffic in a Tesla.
I put on Rush "The Camera Eye" for evaluation purposes. The MX stereo is very nice.
The gigantic windshield puts the sound stage right in front of you.

my confoundment starts when I get out of the shit and back to open roads - headed back to warehouse.

    let's re-hash the Tundra first:
    The Tundra is snappy.
    It's quick for a truck.
It's the PERFECT truck for working guys.
Let's say, at ~600hp, it's quicker than most cars & trucks. (yes, faster than a 3rd gen)
Think about that...it will do 5.1 0-60...not many cars, that are in Houston traffic, can do that. maybe 1 in 5 cars can do that....eh...1 in 7.

then, you ride in the MX. (we always have it in Plaid mode...because)

The go-pedal needs very little touch.
even at 60mph, if you apply pressure to the pedal, the MX will MOVE.
it's not simple acceleration...it's bank robbing acceleration.

it's staggering. maybe, a touch dangerous.

it is near impossible to tell/explain an ICE person this. they have to ride in one.
think about what ICE car you would have to be in to have a similar sensation...ponderous.

I love my Tundra - for what it is. a utilitarian, hi-scoot, reliable, comfortable, work truck.

but the Tesla, any Tesla, is miles in front of ICE autos.

I'm not poking anyone in the eye here...I realize EV's & ICE are in different lanes.

I also think most EV's are piles of Gov mandated shit.

it's just nice to be in this golden age of autos.
when a family sedan can go 0-60 in <3 sec.

sidebar - now you are able to purchase a '21 MS Plaid for ~$50k. usually under 36k miles. WOW.

Question: What kind of suspension is in a Tesla? Wouldn't those huge wheels with rubberbands be jarring on anything but new asphalt?

We added adjustable camber bars to make the rear tires last longer

Ah, air suspension would soften the big wheels impacts some. Is that on all Teslas, or is that just the upper crust models?

    Also

we opted for the larger sidewalls on this MX

my hope is that someone does not tear these up as readily as the MS.
