    Ok

    the new update is on

the dash displays a LOT more data.

more detail - esplanades, more lanes of traffic, a nice line extending in front of your car to show how far it’s tracking ahead.

    nice

and as it relates to flat tires….discount tire left the puck on it. It rode from south Houston to the lake and back

now I have a spare puck

We've also got a Polestar 2. Had it since (I think) August 2022. I love the thing but wish we had opted for a nicer package. We just got the Pilot Package and now that I have a Tundra with a heated steering wheel, I wish the Polestar had it too.

We're also pretty conveniently located close to a service center in Seattle/Bellevue so the one time we had to get it serviced (I forget why), it was great service: picked up on a flat bed from the house, fixed at the service center, and dropped back off at the house all within like 3-4 days.

Yep, I love the improved traffic lines and it seems like it picks up more cars and objects around you.

    exactly.

I'm not sure other cars will be able to compete with this amount of real time data for some time.

Got my update at soccer today. Did the update as the kids were playing and did FSD on the way home. It’s a lot more cautious than when I had it when I purchased the car. Used to zoom around corners

Whatever this forum told me to do
If you sensed a disturbance in the force today-

I was changing oil and doing a drain and fill on the transmission on the tundra.

I used all available cuss words whilst removing the cat converter guards

maintenance like this truly makes me want a MXp.

    truly

the MS has yet to need ANY maintenance in 27k miles. <tires don’t count>

Ponder that. Zero maintenance on a 1000hp car

Come drive in my shit show iced up winter weather for 6-8 months and you'll realize just how little 1000 hp means. :p

Jokes aside, the lack of maintenance is the single biggest draw to a Tesla, but the cost is all paid up front. If they every figure out how to increase range but drop power down to "normal" levels so the price isn't that of a performance car, I would be tempted.

Right.... a screen right where children and dogs will break it, or where you'd lean stuff if you fold up the seat for cargo.

Can we just get a normal car interior with an electric power plant? Why do all the EVs have to try and reinvent the wheel?

    Sorry, I'm tired and grumpy.

    valid points.

we recently compared the dash of a LX600 to the dash of the MX.

the LX has 4 million buttons that you would - generally - never use.

sad to say - I prefer the dash of the Tesla. it's clean. and whatever I need something done - I push the microphone & tell it to do it.

"reinvent the wheel" >>>>I don't like the yoke....there, I said it.

I just think they'd sell better if they were throwing it in your face constantly.

Imagine you take a Camry owner and have them get into an EV Camry, so it's all familiar and the only adjustment is that there's no engine noise.

Obviously the vehicle would have to change, but why does the interior? The interiors work as is.

Over spring break we visited family and rented a brand new BMW X6. That thing had so many damn buttons I am not sure I could ever learn what they all do. Car was fun to drive but so many things that could break. It was nice to get back to my Tundra, just the right amount of tech.
