While back recieved p0456 small evap leak Code.

New Toyota gas cap, took it to reliable mechanic, smoke tested & couldn't find anything anywhere. They replaced the pcv valve under the hood which literally fixed it for a day which was enough to pass emissions for last year lol. How ever I don't think that was the problem to begin with. Before proceeding further with fixing it, what else could it potentially be?

I've checked connections on carbon canister seem fine. Only thing left is carbon canister & what else?

Definitely get a smell of gas near the bed when starting or idling. Gas tank used to shut off the pump repeatedly but hasn't done it in a long time now.

Appreciate yall and everything you've helped with over the past 4 years from my first '04 to my now '15!

    Too many mods to come

I recently had a evap leak. Swapped the cap, vacuum valve in engine bay, filler neck and finally canister. Mine ended up being combo of filler neck and canister

I've always thought the filler neck felt wobbly and tend to have to pull a bit hard to remove the gas pump out. Seemed loose. Obviously trying not to replace the canister as I believe that's the most costly. Appreciate the input though for sure
