Was listening to a CD and went to switch to disc 3 and it popped up Error 3 on the screen. No discs will eject or play. Is it time for a new head unit or is there a fix?

I feel like this is the third time I've seen this same issue in the last month.

Hold the Eject button while you turn on the truck and don't stop holding until it spits out the CD. At least that's how it would work bitd with single-DIN aftermarket head units.

Sometimes you can hold open the felts on the slot and put upward or downward pressure on a disc while pressing Eject to get it to kick out.

Stock head unit if that helps. Tried pulling the fuse and letting it sit a minute before putting back in and disconnected battery and nothing. Looks like i’ll just be getting a new head unit and taking apart the old one to retrieve my cds hopefully they’re not damaged.

Try the trick of holding down EJECT while turning the car on. I can't tell you how many times that's worked for me w/other radios, OEM and otherwise.

If it doesn't, there's a few other tricks out there. A lot of times if you pull the radio, you can gain access to the discs by popping the lid.
