Hello, I have a strange problem with my Toyota Entune on my 16 Tundra
I plug in a USB drive with a few MP3s on it, the USB drive lights up as its getting power, but the USB Icon on the touch screen never lights up.
I can plug my phone into the USB port and it charges, so I know the port has power.
I am using a regular 16GB usb drive, I tried 2 different drives, they get power but the icon doesnt light up.
    Any ideas?

Are you leaving the thumb drive in the USB port for, say, 2 minutes, so that the Entune can have plenty of time to read the thumb drive? Which I'm pretty sure is a pre-requisite to displaying the icon on the screen. Just starting with the simple and easy.

how is the jump drive formatted?

I believe it should be FAT32

according to the manual - page 283 (5-6. Using an external device)
    • File system format: FAT16/32 (Windows)

its formatted FAT32, and yes I left the drive in for at least 5 minutes.
I plug in a jack into the AUX port and the AUX icon on the LCD lights up.
just seems the USB even though it has power doesnt recognize there's anything in it.

I would leave the drive connectected for the day and see if it gets better. I seem to recall on my '14 that the initial read of the drive took sometime but was much quicker after that. Also, the speed of the drive itself did make a difference.
