I own a 2019 Tundra Crew Cab with Entune Premium w/navigation. Recently I attempted to use the navigation to find a retail establishment near me. As I typed in the name of the retail place, the keyboard started eliminating letters so that their was none left to finish the name. I have been on the phone with Toyota only to find out that is the way it is supposed to work. Apparently the system has a data base that it searches as you type and eliminates the key board as the possibilities of a match decrease. I ask that if they have another planning meeting in the design of this system I would really like to be there. This is no way to build a reference system.

The limitation of the OEM system is what pushed me to install a Kenwood unit. I depend on GPS way too much to use that limited system. Anrdoid Auto has been amazing, however I miss hearing the lady go "turn left at the end of the rooooad".

Yeah. It does that when you input address too. What bugs me more is it requires street name before address number. Thats the design for predictive and deduction.

My Tom Tom does that as well. I ended up using it and put in the point of interest near me and BOOM there it was.

The factory nav leaves much to be desired. It’s also put me in the wrong location or directed me through crazy ass routes numerous times. One of the reasons I opted for a new Kenwood with built in Garmin navigation

It took out the letters as the search was being narrowed down. The letters weren’t there cause what you were looking for wasn’t in the database. If it left the letters, what you were searching still wouldn’t have been in the database.
