I have a quick question about the 5.7. I notice when mine is cold especially it has kinda of a chatter to it and until it is warmed up the oil pressure will run at about 3/4. Is this normal or should i be worried??

Yes, it goes down to right below half to right above half. What is that chattering noise though?

Totally normal. Do I like it? Not really.

Since I work in a noisy environment, I always have ear plugs on me. I find the cold start so offending to my ears, I put the plugs in my ears before I go out to start my cold truck. (Been thinking about a remote start for just this reason)

My 2010 5.7 does the same thing. Perfectly normal, but kills me knowing I'm getting something like 3mpg until the engine heats up.
