    2002 tundra 3.4l 4x4
    Hello,

I have a 2002 Tundra 3.4l 4x4 with a bad engine, I found a great running 3.4L engine from a 2002 4runner. Will this motor from the 4 runner have any issues in the tundra? Any things that make them different that I may need to know before doing the swap?

    Thanks for any help!

Didn’t you post this in a different thread? I’m having déjà vu.

yes 4Runner will work. You’ll need to use all the tundra electronics though and ecu/harness

Yes I posted it twice...lol I was desperate. Thanks for your reply.

If I get the ecu for the 4 runner and swap it into the tundra, could I leave the electronics on the 4 runner motor? I will take the easier route, just not sure what route that is.

4runner ecu will not play nice with the tundra. Nothing in the dash will work.
Just swap the engine harness from the tundra to the 4runner engine. And whatever the tundra has that looks different swap over

things like the cam and crank sensor, oil pressure sensor will be the same and safe to use
