Your check engine light was on when you went to the dealer, and they said it was fine?

If you go somewhere to get your check engine light looked at, the scan tool will give you a number such as P0301. Whatever error number the tool spits out, you can then google it and it will tell you what part of your truck is having issues. If you post the number here, we can give you advice on how to possibly fix it.

Also note your truck also has a "Maintenance Required" light, which is different from the check engine light. The Maintenance Required light tells you that you have driven enough miles for your oil to need to be changed. This light has to be manually reset whenever you have your oil changed.

An auto parts store will typically read the code for you for free. They won’t clear it though. You need your own code reader or have a shop do it once they fixed the problem.

Is it the engine symbol light or "maintenance required" light? They're two different lights with two different meanings.

Maintenance light is a dummy reminder you can reset, more info here, scroll down ot the video: https://www.tundras.com/threads/maint-required.148266/
Engine symbol means something is wrong with the car, and as you found, any auto parts store can help you pull the codes.
