My 2019 has 45,000 miles and have only used the OEM Toyota/Denso air filters, purchased from a local dealer.

Recently moved and decided to get a little wild and ordered a Denso air filter from Rock Auto. I noticed the Denso has a pre-filter, gauze like material glued to the bottom of the air filter, which the OEM once included in 2019 and 2020, but that changed in 2021+.

My first impression, it looks identical to the OEM, other than the pre filter and my non-scientific eyes really like the filter. At $15.xx appears to be a good value.

Has anyone used this long term and do you have any feedback to share?

It's Denso so there's that. I have a Wix on right now and I believe it has the same pre filter.

The Denso brand has fewer pleats than the Toyota OEM filter.

I like the pre-filters, lets me remove and gently tap against concrete to let larger debris fall off.... I know just don't whack it out of shape...

I used Wix for my engine air filter due to the pre-filter.

I’m with you here, will take the pre-filter anytime there is an option to have one present. The last OEM unit I ordered did not include.

Changed my air filter last fall. Bought a Microgard from O'reillys. Well constructed and has a pre-filter. I believe it's most likely made by Wix. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one again.
