Looking to add emergency lighting to my vehicle per the laws of my state. I’m looking to add a roof light bar and hide away strobes in the front and back. Does anyone have experience doing this? How did you route the wires and what controller are you using?

Not sure what exactly you mean by emergency lights, but I have lots of added lighting. For the overhead stuff and to protect the rear window, I mounted a heavy duty headache rack that also gives a little roll over protection as well.

Try Whelen products for the controller. Maybe even ask a local PD or SO once their done with them they still work but are useless for upgraded lights on new squads.

Why would you do this to your truck?

Maybe a volunteer firefighter or similar. Who knows.
My truck is a little bit different so it simply stands out from the rest, one reason is so it's noticable which means less chance of impact from a daydreaming driver. Same reason a school bus is yellow. Yellow is noticed more. Everyone notices a cop car because they are different, unless of course unmarked.

Again, why do it to your personal truck? To each their own I guess
