The first thing I’d be looking at is if the brake lights are still working correctly when you’re stepping on the brake pedal but not able to shift out of park.

If no brake lights when you can’t shift, then my main suspect would be the stop light switch on the brake pedal.

If you do have working brake lights, then the park lock solenoid in the shifter would be the suspect.

Is it a column shifter, or a console shifter? Spill any sugary drinks around the shifter lately?

^^ Above is 100% spot on. I just went through this on my wife's Armada. Ended up being the brake switch for us (about $48 from Nissan and 5 mins to install). Problem solved.
