I’m planning on putting an “always hot” cigarette lighter in the back of the center console. I’m mechanically inclined but electrical stuff is my downfall.

What gauge wire is best for this? I will be running a fridge and charging a solar charger.

I plan to just put an inline fuse.

    Am I missing anything?

What is the amp draw of the fridge?

The ARB hard wiring kit (https://www.amazon.com/ARB-10900027-Arb-Fridge-Wiring/dp/B0742LV4JW) runs 10 Ga -- likely to allow the fridge to operate as efficiently as possible with as little voltage drop as possible (to keep power consumption a minimum) while also allowing for the distance required to get wiring from the engine bay to the trunk/bed (there's a potential of 40 ft total of wire in the circuit! and this isn't including the additional wire from the harness outlet to the fridge itself). There are plenty of calculators/charts online that detail ideal wire gauge vs. length at specific voltages like https://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/12-volt-wire-loss-chart-d_1689.html

I ran 12 Ga to the rear of my center console on my double cab wired directly to my aux battery under the hood for my fridge. Notably, the left grommet on the firewall near the ABS unit is not too difficult to work with, but I would recommend using something like a wire insertion tool (used with an adequate lubricant) to help make the process a little easier -- like https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-61030-2-Piece-Inserter-Combo/dp/B00IXSECT6
