I’m installing the OEM LED bed lights and there is so much extra wire that I’d like to cut a lot of it off and then replace the connection. I can soder on the old connectors but thought if someone knows what kind of connections they are I could just buy them and replace them. I’ve looked online and at an Autoparts store and couldn’t find it but I also don’t know what it’s called.

Thanks for any info anyone can provide!

Just cut a few inches behind that connection and butt splice when you have removed the extra wire.

Yep, I figure I could definitely do that but if someone knows the connector type then I can just replace them.

    Alot of them
With some patience, you can open those up and remove the wire.

I’ve tried a little and not having total success. It’s easy enough the open up the crimp on the coated piece of wire that holds it in place but I’m struggling to open the crimp on the bare wire. Any suggestions or tricks would be appreciated. I’m using dental picks and fine work mini-pliers to get after it and don’t want to wreck them.
