My factory alarm is going off spontaneously - horn and lights. 2018 Platinum.

    Electrical Components Installed:
    - 2 Baja Designs light bars tied into a Switch Pro's 9100.(installed Dec. 2018).
    - Compustar remote start w/ Drone Mobile.(installed Sept. 2018).
    - Amp Research running boards (installed February 2018).
    - 2 Rigid Industries A-Series for bed lights wired through a waterproof on/off switch - positive to battery and negative to fender ground (completed summer 2018).
    - All bulbs swapped to LED (completed summer 2018).

    Troubleshooting So Far:
-Brought truck back to installer who wired remote start and light bars/switch pro. Said they ran through wiring start to finish, everything looked great, checked for update for remote start unit, no update needed. He mentioned checking the amp steps.
    - Pulled in-line fuse for amp steps. Alarm went off 20 minutes later.
    - Brought to dealership to have them check door/hood sensors and go through TechStream to turn off alarm system. Stated that sensors function normal and that there is no option in TechStream to deactivate the alarm system.

Next items to rule out individually:
    - Remove power for remote start.
    - Remove power for bed lights.
    - Remove power for switch pro's.

Is there really no option to turn the alarm off? He stated that the available options in TechStream for 2018+ are different from preceding years.
Does anyone have any insight that I'm overlooking?

    Help would be much appreciated!

Most likely it’s an issue with the remote start. Either the module or programming isn’t up to date to work with the 18+ ecu. Easiest thing is to simply unplug the module for the remote start and see if it stops.

Definitely going to go through every installed item to try and rule each one out.

This just started happening about 2 weeks ago.

How long has it been installed?

Compustar remote start with Drone mobile has been in since September 2018.

I did read this post while searching. Went and double checked. No dome lights on.

Sometimes it’s multiple days without any alarm then it will happen two times within a few hours. Just totally random, no regularity.

Planning on doing this tomorrow afternoon. Thanks.

I am having the same issue with my 2018 limited Tundra. Went off for no reason in the middle of the night. It did this a few months ago twice. Anyone with updates on this would be greatly appreciated. I added last September a plug and play remote start.

Which remote start system do you have?

My issue turned out to be the remote start - I'm a week out from the re-install and so far so good.
Install shop replaced the control module, removed the t-harness and rewired the whole system start to finish.

I am having the same issue and also have a compustar remote starter installed.

The issue I’m having is that I was having the alarm go off in the middle of the night before and after remote start install.

I have already replaced the hood latch sensor assembly.

Next step will be to lower sensitivity on glass breaker sensor.

Not sure what to do after that. Help please.

Same problem here, at least it used to go off randomly. Haven't heard it in months it seems. This was happening with everything factory wiring related. Compustar installed as of now and haven't noticed it going off in a while. The only remedy I could think of was pull the fuse for the panic alarm and disconnect the horns since dealership needed to witness the problem

My truck (2018) just started doing this to me today. I noticed the key fob was “delayed” when trying to lock and/or unlock it today. Now twice in past 2 hours, the alarm (or at least horn) is just going off for no reason. No cab lights on.
I called local dealer (AutoNation Ft Myers) and apparently they can’t even give me a courtesy call back to set up an appointment. The lady that answered the phone was “like super busy” and was going to have an advisor call me. That was almost 30 mins ago.....
    That dealership is terrible!!!!
