I currently have a Bakflip tonneau cover mounted using the oem bed rail system. I would like to get a Softopper for camping trips but what a hassle to have to swap mounts and rail systems. Is there an easier way? How about if I buy a second set of oem bed rails and swap bed rails so the mounts stay in place and I only have to remove and install the torx holding it into the bed. Would this work or make sense? Any other clever solutions?

Seems like removing the rails would be as big of a pain if not bigger

Could be but haven’t tried. My thinking is that atleast the tonneau cover and Softopper mounts will remain intact so there is no need to realign anything. Just bolt the rails back into their holes. I could be under thinking it.

I don't know anything about this but I remember seeing some members here who put them on... Reportedly it is both softoper and soft tonneau

I have this and would recommend it to anyone. The soft topper stores under the tonneau cover towards the front of the bed. Roll the tonneau cover up to the front and pull the soft topper up.
It does leave a little gap between the soft topper and cabin, but the flexibility of having both is worth it. It even works with the Decked system.
