cheap lift, cheap parts, expensive looks
So when I received the recall notice I went to check if mine were part of the recall. One was stamped K4 which was part of the recall but the other one had no marking. I was reading their new supplier had a completely different color, numbers and marks. Then today I stumbled upon the answer when I scrolled past a TRW ball joint. The color, the housing, the nut and bolts they supply were exactly like the Moog I received. Didn't know they were both owned by Federal Mogul. I believe they are slowly removing Moog all together as they've stopped making Struts also. They must also own Monroe because thats the recommended strut they referred to buy. I know most aftermarket parts are the same but I didn't know how much until now. It's like one guy runs the entire show. Silver is the old Moog and recalled Sankai555/Tenneco
and Black the new Moog or TRW re-branded. I was a bit upset though that Sankei555 disagreed with the findings of the recall.
