Dumb question

I just got some new duratracs on my tundra for the winter. There is about 6/32 left on the factory tires. Are they worth anything or should I just pitch them? Thanks for the input.

 

List for $50 or for free. Someone will be fucking stoked to have tires with that much tread, and one less thing to go into the landfill.

 

Agreed. Someone will love to have them for a fair price. $20 a tire is fair and take the first $50 for all 4.

People will use them for spares, trailers, or put them on the truck to sell / trade it and sell their upgrade wheels / tires.

 

If they were the same tire I have on my truck I'd jump on one for cheap insurance against having one tire getting ruined and having to buy four new tires when three were only half worn. There were times in my life new tires were put off to feed the kids and I would have felt truly blessed to find four tires in decent shape.

 

Ok sounds good. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've had to buy tires in my life so a little ignorant to worth on used tires.

 

I am going to be in the minority here. I have had no luck at all getting rid of used tires, even for free. The only ones that I have sold were the take offs from my current truck to another Tundra owner. I have been told that people are concerned about a tire shop refusing to mount used tires.
