Dubai overland Tundra

Hi I have not shared the build process as I am too busy.

This is my demo vehicle, and my mobile showroom for South Afrcan brand Quick Pitch, Renogy offgrid power, and RLD Design SS Canopies.

Quickpitch: aluminium RTT, 270 2.6m Awning, ensuite shower tent
Renogy: 2x 100Ah lithium batteries, 50 amp DCDC charger with solar MPPT, 2 x 100W solar panels, 2000w 220V AC inverter, all plugged into Renogy Bluetooth monitor.
RLD Design SS canopy with 1 full cabinet, and one 1/2 cabinet, and drop down table.
80litre water tank, with 12V water pump and Quick Pitch LPG water heater.
Ironman lift with 450kgs constant load springs, and their shocks and upc s.
9500lbs winch, I know this needs to change to 12000lbs or higher on custom half bumper.
Various lights from diode dynamics and lazer lights
Roadanvi 10.2" android headunit.

That was a good time to be in Dubai. Its gotten big now, and the desert is smaller now. What were you doing here if I a may ask.

thanks, that was designed by my wife, she is an architect and can make things look good, I am an engineer, which means it works, but looks awful.

funny thing is, people here dont believe that it is a factory colour. But the quality of paint is so weak, it will need some paint correction and scratch repair this summer for the next season. I do miss the paint on those 90s and 80s vehicles.

 

Agreed. I would love an exact color matched wrap. Maybe one day.

 

My family moved out there when I was little. Went to Jumeirah American School and then back to the States for high school after the American school system ran out. We lived at CBV.

We went back to visit about 15 years ago and it was so different. Old Dubai was great.

 

Looks good! Despite being blue lol. Nice build. My wife would love that side compartment with the mixer cup lol

 

Welcome from SW Florida! Nice truck! I’ve spent a lot of time in Dubai and visit frequently. Lots of good places for wheeling and overlanding, a correctly set up Tundra is perfect for that.
