    Vehicle:
    2016 Limited Farm Truck
Some lift, skid plate, Decked box, remote start, electric tailgate lock, CB...trying to build the ultimate farm truck
2016 Limited, with the stupid amber DRL's. Don't like them at all, but I DO want DRL's because I do a lot of rural driving around partially asleep potato truck drivers.

Got some flashback led bulbs, now I get:
    DRL: amber (want white)
Turn signal: amber (correct) (hyperflash, which was expected)
running light: white (should be amber)

So, I can't just de-pin and switch the leads to the bulbs, because then I'd have white flashers. Surely someone has addressed this with instructions to interrupt the infamous "grey wire" and use a relay to correct the situation? or simply splice the grey wire into the trigger wire for the running light circuit? or can the flasher module be changed or a setting changed in the ECU? I'm not afraid of wiring at all, but I've searched for hours and can't find anything really useful. I'm not real excited about spending hundreds of dollars on new TRD Pro headlights either, yes they're cool, but I'm not made of money...

IMO the 2 things Toyota really screwed up on this truck is this amber DRL situation (WHY???) and the abortion of a skid plate (again, WHY??????).

    TIA
