Hey everyone....had my first DRL(Yellow) bulb burn out on me yesterday. Have a little over 25000 miles on the truck. 2 Years. Just wanted to get an idea of the life span you all are getting out of your DRL bulbs. Not a big deal but, to replace this bulb is kind of a pain in the ass(3rd gen). I have a Honda civic that I've owned for 5 Years and over 100,000 miles, still have not needed to replace the DRL bulbs. Thinking I might need to go with led bulbs for a longer life span and maybe do the DRL delete MOD. What do you guys think?

I noticed that the DRL bulb gets really hot, I have a little plastic deformation/ melting around the socket. I think LEDs run cooler and would therefore be a wise alternative. I believe switchbacks are available as replacement too.

Yes...thinking I might go that route with the switchbacks. Just seems like they should have lasted as little longer. Could be that it was just a crappy bulb start with.
