2024 with 1,000 miles. Any feedback on long term wear and tear on tranny? Drove in manual mode yesterday and really enjoyed the performance

You're only doing manually what the transmission would do automatically. No difference to the gears.

    Lots of stuff!
I use this mode all the time, especially when towing and starting up at a light or stop sign. Otherwise, the transmission wants to be in 3rd and it seems to take forever to get moving with lots of engine spinning!

I pull it down into 1st and it takes off much better. Just need to make sure to shift up quickly.

It's not an actual manual mode. It's a gear limiter. It won't go into a gear higher than what you selected, but it operates normally otherwise. From a stop put it in S4 and drive without touching the shifter. It'll shift through the gears normally up to 4th, and won't go to a higher gear than that. It's mostly useful for engine braking down hill/towing/etc.

As for wear and tear, that will depend on if you are revving it out to long before bumping the gear limit up. How you drive it will determine the wear. Using S-mode will not hurt the truck unless you are doing something goofy in the way you drive it.
