Update on a thread I originally posted on the first gen site by mistake. Been 4 months now since replacing the intermediate bearing and that was definitely the cause of my random vibration.for those of you who didn't see the original post, I would get a random very strong drivetrain vibration, like driving over a rumble strip. If I stopped and started up again it would be gone. Turns out the bearings were ok but the rubber mount which is part of the assembly had gotten soft enough to allow the bearing to set up a harmonic wobble. It really didn't appear to have a lot of play in it but... The bad news was I could't separate the yoke from the shaft to change out the bearing - bearing puller, heated red, 30 ton hydraulic press! Had to replace the entire driveshaft assembly. $1700 vs. $40 for the bearing.
