Owned my Tundra for less than a week. Love the truck so far. I have a 90 day warranty on anything pretty much. Carmax was very open about what they'd fix.

I noted the drivers front window goes down REALLY slow and then the auto-down feature disengages on cold mornings about 6" from the bottom. Some days it'll get 2" from bottom and quit. Hit the button again and it drops the rest of the way....slowly.

Window motor issue? Or is this just a 'lube the tracks up' situation? The other front window seems slow but it doesn't have the auto-down feature...so not sure if it would do the same thing or not.

Its a 2018 with 104k on it. Like I said. Absolutely love the truck....really digging it. Just want to get stuff fixed via warranty that needs it. This is a toss up. Do I lube the tracks or get motor replaced under warranty?

    Thanks

Sounds more like a motor issue. But its cheap and easy to try a lubricant. This is what I used when I could tell mine were catching some. Just clean the rubber to remove any dirt from it, and remember a little goes a long way.

This is sold all over (automotive stores and home improvement stores)

Thanks. I'll go pick up some of that stuff and try it. If not, I'll get Carmax to replace the window motor.

I've had the same issue on my 2019 since I've owned it. it usually only happens when its below 40 degrees out. I've had the dealership "fix" it twice. they said the window channels were "very dirty" every time. I don't' off road or get dirt and mud everywhere so I'm not sure how it was "very dirty". it started again here in the last week, even when it's been warm out. I'm out of town so I'll probably take off the door panel and clean it myself.
