I need to run a small AV cable from the engine compartment into driver's side footwell area. There is lots of info on using the passenger side grommet but not much regarding the one on the driver's side. There is no "nipple" available like on the passenger side. Can I make a small cut in the grommet and pull the cable through with a metal coat hanger for instance? Thanks for any advice.

Yeah you will be fine running it through there. Just don’t poke or cut any of the wires on the harness.

There is a nipple. But it’s at the bottom, not like the passenger side which is at the top and visible. Driver side is under the main harness going into the cab.
