Got in my truck tonight after work. Buckled up, and the seatbelt light was flashing intermittently on the ride home. Any thoughts?

Exactly what I was going to ask. If I leave something of substance in my passenger seat it will trigger the sensor/light.

I bought a brand new car when I graduated from High School. A nice Plymouth Satellite. When I left the dealer, the seat belt buzzer would go off and on a couple of times every block. I kept fiddling with it but nothing worked. I was getting ticked off, so I decided to go back to the dealer and make them fix it. Being more than a bit angry, I hit the brake and the clutch getting ready to make a u-turn to go back. My trade in was a standard, this was an automatic. I stopped very abruptly giving the seat belt a good hard yank. The buzzer stopped buzzing at that point and never acted up again. I'd suspect a bit of crud in the belt connector, or maybe a bit of corrosion on the contacts. Blow it out with compressed air at the highest pressure available and see what happens. Contact cleaner might help, but be sure to use one that's plastic safe and dries completely. You don't want something that leaves oil behind and attracts dirt and dust.

Dead stock with oem 16" starfish wheels. We'll see how long that lasts. :) Topper of unknown origin.
I dislike the seatbelt warning light and just removed the light when I was in replacing burnt out bulbs.

I had the same issue on the 2003 Tundra I bought this year. The seatbelt would flash intermittently. Irritating. And distracted my driving which it can be dangerous to take your eyes off the road even less that second sometimes. Whenever I grabbed where the seatbelt snaps in and wiggle & hold it in place the light would stay off. After I let go and moved around in my seat a bit it would soon return, that told me to replace the snap in assembly. You have to unclip the cable under the seat and unbolt the 4 bolts and remove the seat from the cab to unbolt the assembly with the one bolt that attached it to the side of the seat, bolt a new one in and reinstall the seat and electronic cable. Easy do it yourself job for under $50. The new one no longer has that wiggle to it and the light has never come on again.

Or you could just fix the problem. There’s plenty of info on this forum explaining how to do so.
